Message	times when my cars have been broken into, (once on an 86 mustang and twice on my Z) The last time apparently they broke out the hatch glass so they could get into the area better - they pulled up all the boards and even took the spare out so it's obvious they were "looking" for something worth stealing rather than simply vandalizing my car.
